I really like this! Gives a feeling of sorrow right off. Congrats on getting a tablet. Could I suggest putting a tiny bit of lighter, more golden brown at the bottom of his irises and a slightly bigger/lighter highlight on the pupil? I think it would be nice to bring his eyes into more focus. Right now, since it's so much lighter than everything else, the focus is on his tooth (which is fine, too, if that's what you're going for).
