I suppose I'm just optimistic, but I'm applying for art school and these are some of my submission pieces. I was wondering what you thought?

some really nice paintings, really like the first.. some are very similar tho, maybe try to be abit more selective rather then taking them all..

I really like them all! You are a great painter! I like the second one best. It's got a warm sense to it, I think. I love your style.

I like them. Your bold style is really eye-catching. But, I do agree with Sal. While very nice, this particular set seems to be very similar. In addition to using the same style and color pallete, the same characters seem to run through several of them.
Are the ink sketches your family? It looks like a photo album collage and a couple of them seem to have your nose. :) |

You recognise my nose?!!? O_O
They are my familly! :o Thanks for the feedback y'all :) The reason the 4 paintings are very similar is that they're supposed to be a series of development based on the same colours and figures. They're not supposed to look exactly alike but are supposed to show an understanding of the stylistic changes Jeffrey Harris went through over a couple of decades...I'd post some links to his art, but it's goddamn hard to find! |
