Consider this idea:
A comic strip board where you could draw your own comic strips, with any level of drawing ability above Crap. Teh Adventules could be in full color!

I think this could have gone in the "2Draw wishlist" post, but whatever, here's my thoughts.
I think that's a great idea. I've seen alot of comics in the regular drawing boards, and I think it would be best if they were all in one board.
"Teh Adventules" in color... Ohhh I'd love to see that :)

but then, you could make your own comic strips on any board really >_>;

You can in your profile create a folder called "My comics", "Or the Adventures of.<name>." ect....
There you could put all your comics into one user board or create a storly line for each drawing/frame.
Having a board that is like an entire story based on your Charactors adventures.

Crap is only crap if the submitter puts little or no effort into the submission. Like the infamous 5, 6, or 7-minute scetches.

Well Yeah I could make folders, but I can't put other people's comics in my folder.

You could hyper link all the comics into one massive forum thread.... heh

i would love to have a comic board. great idea. marcello could make a comic section really fast.

I'd only do it if there were comics that didn't suck that made it worthwhile.
Make a comic, then ask me. Nothing is stopping you from using the existing system.

I think the "Farside" contest showed that a comic board would be a good idea.
You could make It an invite only board.

A comicboard wouldnt be bad but would it be all levels or only intermediete or advanced or something like that. :O

The canvas sizes are too small >_<;
I usually make larger pictures on different oekaki
sites because they allow large canvas sizes.

Kenshin is right. the size limit on intermediate is too small for taller comics. the image size for the comic board could be around 1000 for length and width. I also tried to join a different oekaki for comics, but they don't have shi-painter pro.

I agree with Rysufio and Kenshin... The intermediate board isn't tall enough for comics and... Stuff like that.

Excuses, excuses. The canvas size has nothing to do with it. If you can make a good comic, you'll be able to make a good one in the size allowed on intermediate. If someone can manage that, then I might consider a special board. No point in making one for crappy comics.

I'm with Marcello on the canvas size issue.

I do alot of comic sketches with ink, and markers.
Maybe we should have a comic week to show Marcello that a comic board would kick ass.

i'd go for comic week. then if a board gets made, we could have all of our comics moved into there. great idea.

2 panel comic on the beginner board. See you don't need alot of room to make a comic.

People need to draw comics if they want a Comic Board.

It's a good idea for aspiring comic artists and anyone who just wants to collab with someone to get their punchlines out there. It's a great idea. Plus it'd be interesting to see what people can do with their imagination and abilities.

Wow, I've started the Comic Board Movement. Maybe I'll draw some comics myself. If I get the time. Thank you everyone.

Yep, doesn't sound like there is much point in a comic board, posts would be so far and few between. Doing a comic is a lot of work, and if you want anyone to enjoy it, it requires regular posting. Unless you go for a farside/non sequitur type strip, you'll need to develop interesting and relatable characters.

do a short on a guy being raised by lemurs :D

I'll do a short on a red panda being raised by ring tailed lemurs. They both have rings on their tails, so it'll be like that ugly duckling story, except I'll grow up to kick their butts.
