The title and the picture remind me of Captain Ahab. He looks as if he's grown very tired searching for that whale. I like version 3. That looks like how I feel about Java on this site.

salut gigge... yeah... always i have problems with java. even working with explorer or safari.
first i think was my apple, but my friends with apple doesn't have problems... and then, i don't know what it is.
well, who is captain ahab?
Gigge (Jun 20, 2005)
He's a character from the classic book Moby Dick. He was an old sea captain whose obsession with hunting a particular whale eventually killed him and most of his crew. Your character looks like a old man with a lot of pride. The other things that reminded me of Ahab were the gold buttons and long coat, which high ranking officers of the sea tend to wear; the age of the character; the tired eyes; the horizontal lines that look like the wood grain of the ship; and the amount of negative space (white was very symbolic in the book). Anyway, good luck with Java. I have a PC and have tried it with Firefox, Mozilla, IE, and Netscape. It doesn't like any of them. Maybe it's personal, eh? ;)

I dont really find your style that appealing, but do appreciate it for all the time you put into it with the little details. Still, the arms, boat, and water look unfinished.
