I've been seeing a lot of effortless art in there lately, people PLEASE don't choose which board to post on according to what YOU think your level is =__=
but rather by the quality of the picture you're working/going to work on ;\ *rawr*
yeah, I just felt it needed to be said ~_~;; *shuffles off*

I don't really care what board anybody posts on. I just look at the picture, itself.. never notice what board it's on.

I'm not sure how you could not notice what board it is, since you do have to click on the board's name to navigate over there.

doesnt really bother me, if i want a bigger canvas i move into intermediate, if im happy with a small 1 i stay in beginner.. :/

Redpanda.. I don't click on any board's name. I click on the pictures on the front page and then I click on browse for latest boards or latest comments. I pay no attention to what board the pics are on. Couldn't care less.

I use that feature sometimes, but since I'm not always here I use the browse feature much more often to see all the things I missed, and I was assuming most other people do that too. If you're here enough to catch everything as it's being posted then maybe you should spend some time outside or reading a book from time to time? I know I probably spend too much time online myself anyways. If you read my comment again you'll see I was talking about navigating over to a board, not individual pictures.

-There are actually a few good reasons for posting in the right place. Forget about anything to do with organization or rules or the fact that some people just don't feel like seeing low quality art displayed next to good art. I think the important thing is as an artist if you're posting something on the intermediate board then do you really feel that you've gotten past the basics of drawing? If they haven't, and nobody says anything because it's somehow anal to look at where it says what the board is, then it's not very likely the person is going to suddenly realize any time soon that they're lacking in one or more basic areas. The problem isn't that people are board Nazis and want to tell people what can go where, it's that a lot of people over estimate themselves and turn a blind eye to what they need to improve on. To me if someone posts on a certain skill level of board then what they're really doing is stating that the drawing they made is of that level, and if it isn't then I think it's going to help them see what they need to improve if someone says something about it rather than just saying good things all the time. That goes right into critiqueing art. If I see something posted on the beginner's board (I normally check their page to see how old they are too) I'm going to take that into consideration and not get too nit-picky when I critique. I may give some advice or suggestions but I understand it's beginning level and so some things are to be expected. If it's on a higher level board then I'm going to be more thurough when I critique because by that point the person should know better than to make a beginner's mistake.

think red panda has a gd point, possitive comments are nice and im sure everyone appreciates them, but would prefer critique rather then positive bs myself..

I dont' mind what board it's on, as long as it's not too[/] far off. I just don't like seeing crap that was obviously done with no effort.
