No, I have thought on it, and come to the conclusion that he was fated to be the robot that all other robots talk about when they say "well it could be worse." His suffering will allow countless thousands of other robots to feel marginally better about themselves. So noble is his sacrifice! I feel springs of sadness welling up in my eyes as I type.
