If you want sketchy to be your style, which is what a lot of good artists do actually, then I'd suggest pushing it further and making things even more "sketchy." That's not to say skip out on the details, but when something just has a few rough lines then it'll look like you just didn't make your lines smooth. I think you could add more lines in the hair and maybe use lines for shading too.
