I like how the person is being offset by the white area on the left side. It has nice balance with that because the colors are muted enough that the figure doesn't pull us too much over to just the right. I think that if you were to brighten the colors on the right though that you may need to also add something in that white area, but as it is the balance is working.

It's nice that the hair mimics the pattern of the wood behind him.
