you are too a portrait artist. like any artist all you and everyone else needs is learning, refinement, and practice. its only a matter of time.
as for the picture, i think its a great show-case of colors and blending. the anatomy is on point. looks good to me.

You're too hard on yourself. I think this is pretty good! Maybe some highlights in the irises of the eyes and a bit softer lines around the lids. Your colors and blending are good.
