mmkay...im thinking about starting and RPG..called Queen Alora's School for the Gifted...erm...like harry potter without all the cheesy-ness....also somewhat based on garth nix's abhorson series...tell me what you think...and if its even worth trying..
also, if you do like it, im looking for some mods...so just post here with a sample of an rp post. thankies :D oh, and also tell me why you think you are capable of being a Mod...and one of the mods will most probable be chosen as a co-admin eventually |

If you wanna start, go to my site: http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~zhangpo Download the super nintendo emulator and then go google the roms (games) such as Chronotrigger or Final Fantasy VI. These are legendary RPG games so you gotta play them. If you need more help, contact me on msn or yahoo or post it on the forum on the site i just gave you. Happy gaming ^.^

On a side note, while Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy are simply -awesome- games (ignore your common sense and just believe what I'm about to say: I've beaten Chrono Trigger almost 40 times), I wouldn't call them RPGs. They're just adventure games.

how about get your own ideas. Mooching off of Harry Potter and pulling out the cheesiness, isn't such a good idea. People want new and improved, more interesting subjects for RPGs ya know. So.. try and brain storm more and come up with a great idea on your own. :D

*sigh* misunderstanding. what i was doing was really different from HP, i just needed a way to get ppl to understand what it is. anywho...too much typical magic school-ness...but i do beleive RPGs based on books tend to work out better. ppl seem to understand the details better that way. so, that said, i was also thinking of an RPG based on Lirael, by Garth Nix. I could make it a Clayr RPG...if enough ppl have read the Abhorsen series...somehow that seems doubtfull...

People should make their own character and give them personality. They should be able to design the character. As for it itself, I have no idea. Sorry

yeah i dont like the whole cannon character thing myself, i will probably make the RPG set like 100 years after the books...that way ppl dont really have to read the books to play

Make up your own stories then. The great RPGs like Dark Cloud and Final Fantasy didn't come from a book. Tak didn't and neither Jak. So yeah..
