Someone posted in forums about that at some point.. something about being easier if you also use layers and feather in the edges.. better than trying to blend all in one layer..
O.K. I'll admit it Saci's Idea would be real cool. I feel lame, for some reason saying it but it does seem to fit the idea of this perfect. Great jobbers somebody. Hey, maybe a lone silhouette walking up towards the tree or along the horizon line away from it.?:}
I like it as it is, with no shadows and no other signs of life ... it reminds me of Peter Hoeg's book "Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow" and of the endless debate about the number of words the Inuit have for snow (which is, apparently, an infinite number). If this picture was in a gallery, I'd buy it ... because I feel I could look at it forever and still see something different in its nothingness.
Thats exactly what I was going for flopsy. I like all the ideas but in this case I was going for the nothingness of it....thus the lone tree. Thanks for all the great feedback. :o) And I'm checking out the forum now. I'll take any way of making things easier.
Somebody, just to let you know, I wasn't saying that this wasn't a good pic. I actually like it this way, I was just putting in my 2 cents on what I would have probably done to it. I like this just the way it is, really.
