Um...what are layers? I randomly draw stuff that pops out of my head, thats it.

The layers are the last thing on the tool bar. It will say: Layer 0 or something. Click on it. Do your sketch on layer 0, do your lines on layer 2, the coloring on layer 1, and the bg on layer 2. It makes life much easier. :D Oh yes, make sure you erase your sketch on layer 0.
