I wanna know what most people use... cause some of this shit is just so real like and amazing... I'm messing round with my mouse as of right now just trying to get used to the paint programs and hopefully kinda better my art some... what about you peeps ?

Mouse. Had a tablet before.. played around with it for a week or so, but then gave it to a sibling. Had a chance to get another one, but I was too adpated to the mouse to try a tablet again. >_<;

i don't really like my wacom pad....maybe because it's from 1998 :D
so i actually use mouse, wich is sometimes frustrating.

my sister gave me her utterly crapped out tablet after she was done with it. MEAN huh? but then I got my own. =0P

I use a mouse but I would use a tablet in a heart beat.... if I had one. I just can't get any better on the computer using a mouse cause I'm so use to drawing on paper with a pencil... :(

I don't like mose, but I don't have a pad. I'm better than drawing on pencil and paper, so is it possilbe to draw something on pencil and paper and then trace it on to the pad?

You can with some Wacom tablets, but it looks really crappy.

You can trace with some tablets. The larger sized Wacom ones have a transparncy under which you can put a picture to trace and it uses a real size aspect ratio which means the drawing size on the screen is fitted to the tablet so the location and movement is copied exactly on the screen. btw i hate mouse. Really really really want a tablet. Saved up enough to buy one too, just havent got around to getting it =S

I might not be doing it correctly, but tracing on the pad is too difficult and the lines become very bad. It is better if you draw on paper, then scan the picture in your computer and then trace in a painting program by making the layer on top of the scanned picture faintly transparent. |:)

Mouse. like you, bethica, it IS annoying. I always seem to get a fit everytime I try to do details. UGH!!! I do wish I had a tablet. My mouse is wiggly and it is totally crap. But it's all I have. *sigh*

I don't use a normal mouse... No! I use a trackball! :D I'm proud to work with this piece of crap! So proud it brings me to tears...

I thought I had a really old tablet from the early 90's somewhere around my house but I think my brother took it with him to college eventhough he recently got a better one off ebay....well, I've got an optical mouse...love it, but hate it when it comes to drawing on the computer. >o<

I preffer a mouse right now...only because that's the only thing I have. But X-mas will bring a shiney new Intuos3 tablet so I can experiment :3

Are we at this again? OI! Tablet, and mouse, I find useing the mouse for large fills, blurring and, or eraseing better than tablet. Tablet for everything else. <:}

well we're on the topic of how people draw...does anybody use an I-Pen PRO (by fingersystems)? I've been thinking about getting one to try out. Would love to know how they work if anyone has tried one.

I would be using a tablet if it didnt break.
