"The little finger side of the hand sets across the
end of the forearm at a sharper angle than does the
thumb side.
It is narrower and never wholly conceals the rest
of the hand.
The pisiform bone, or heel of the hand, is always
conspicuous on the lower side of the wrist.
To it attaches the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle,
corresponding with the tendon of Achilles.

1 Pisiform (pea-sgaped) bone.

2 Flexor carpi ulinaris.

(for some reason I decided to use my tablet on this one. Something I almost never use)

Dan is awesome at everthing! Nice work.
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
I started trying to draw hands as well as I could when I was about 6. I'm almost 42 now.
marcello (Sep 7, 2004)
are you right handed or left handed?
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
Right handed.
LEELEE (Sep 7, 2004)
well, right hander...this is great! like i have said a million times b4, i find hands to be the hardest thing ever to draw. I think you did a fabulous job!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 7, 2004)
This is really good... so, this book... is it just about hands in general, or is it about how to draw them?
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
It's about understanding the construction, anatomy, formation and function of the hand. It's about drawing them and about the fact that if you want to draw them well you need to understand all of the above.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 7, 2004)
I need that book.
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
Come on over and talk me out it somehow. ;)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 7, 2004)
You mean I have to talk, too?
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
he he. No, just follow instructions. :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 7, 2004)
Oh, okay, as long as they aren't translated from Japanese, those never make sense. I wonder how many Barnes and Nobles I'd have to pass up on the drive over there.
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
Barnes and Noble? Oh...um..yeah, well the thing is, I uh...I checked already see?... yeah...and they don't have any...so.....yeah, never mind all that silly Barnes and Nobel stuff. Oh, also, I told them to save you the trouble and just to explain that they don't have any so you don't have to ask at all...so yeah...don't even ask them. So I think it's best if you just drive right up here, none of that store business.

That's why Michaelangelo was such a great artist. He did autopsies on people to study how every bone and muscle worked so that he could understand the entire human body. This is a great picture Axil. It looks like when you make your fingers walk across a table or something. Very cool.

Lol about all that Barnes and Noble talk
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
Thanks Aubrey.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 7, 2004)
Oh, okay, sure. So I'll be right over then. I saw Michelangelo's anatomy sketches in Fort Worth and they were completely amazing. I just stood and stared at them for a while... transfixed.
Aubrey (Sep 7, 2004)
Yep, very amazing. Can I carpool with you Cindy? lol I dunno how to draw hands really well either.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 7, 2004)
Sure! I'm sure he won't mind if we both show up to borrow his book. :)
Axil62 (Sep 7, 2004)
Most certainly. Say, just a thought, how do you two feel about jello wrestling? You know, just in case there's some sort of unfortunate dispute over who get's the book...not for me you understand...just trying to figure out a fair deal for you girls is all.

Pretty. It has somewhat of a Da Vinci sketch quality to it.
