The Wand is supposed to "fill" an area (like Paint Bucket) Draw a little moving line around it, and then say "You can draw only here! All you do will be here and nowhere else!" It's pretty useful, it's how I did that little fin. But Lascaux seems to be so frikkin buggy with it! (or maybe it's just how much I suck)

I still dont know why the wand would be needed for something like that. I would have just drawn the fin..why wand? What's the advantage.,.plus..you can never seem to shut the bugger off..

selections are buggy in lascaux, though for the most part, not really necessary. you might consider using the 'preserve transparency' layer option instead of magic wand if you want to mask your coloring/shading to regions you've blocked out already.

The reason is because I needed to get that 'blur+antialias' effect I wanted, and the edges of the brush would catch on other bits of drawing, totally crappifying it.

I am prouuuud of the hair. And I did this at school, which is why the hair is *ahem* there. Not done, need to straighten out some small details...like the fins...the FACE...
