After several delays, a new version of lascaux sketch is finally out! This version implements a new selection system that now looks more like photoshop's.
If you haven't checked out this great new oekaki applet, put asside your outdated paintbbs and bug-ridden oekakibbs and try a shiny new lascaux sketch. |

damn... so far i onli have enough time to do some simple sketches with it... the pressure support seems better than the previous version :o the lines actually look smoother
maybe i sound spoilt, but is it possible to implement palettes like the paintbbs? lazy people like me don't mix their own palettes :'D |

What do you mean, it has a palette... It works exactly the same as paintbbs' (albeit different colors).

i dont have any pressure senitivity
on the test page it works fine but not in lascaux sketch http://cellosoft.com/2draw//sketchstudio/JTablet-test.html maybe its because i don't use a wacom? i have a different brand |

If it works in jtablet test, then it'll work in lascaux, you just have to make sure you click the buttons in the bottom-right corner... otherwise pressure sensing won't do anything (just like in photoshop).

oh i mean, palettes like pastel colours, skin colours, green shades, blue shades etc... (^^;;)
|
||||
marcello (edited May 5, 2003)
paintbbs doesn't have that...
but check out the 'WEB' thing in the top right, it's a bigger palette. As for predefined palettes...COME ON!!! don't wimp out ;-) |

ok thnx it works sorry for the noob questions i am kinda new to digital coloring
but is there a Ruler available in lascaux sketch? that wil really be helpfull |
||||
marcello (edited May 6, 2003)
A ruler? You mean a straight-line tool, or something to measure the distance between two points??
Lascaux has all the basics and most everything paintbbs and oekakibbs have. |

i mean something to measure the distance between two points
i havent found it yet |
||||
marcello (edited May 8, 2003)
Pardon me for asking, but why the hell do you want something like that? It's an art program, not a cad tool. ;-)
Neither PaintBBS or OekakiBBS have that tool either... |
