"When we were 7 years old, an aging blue lizard moved in next door. Every day we would go to his house and beg stories from him...and give him food, ya know? One day, he took an almost-empty green waterbaloon and held it upside down with his pointed hands and told us a story about a man who was born in chains and live with them for the rest of his life. And when the chains came off, there wasn't anything of the man left. That creeped us out, ya know? So we threw rotten oranges at him, called him senile, and gave him hugs."
