Teh deceptotrons were used as a infiltration units. They captured soldiers while they were alone, scouting. Then they skined them and put their skin on themselves. Then they would just walk in a base unoticed and started killing soldiers, steal or destroy something or mostly they killed the commanders. Soldiers started not to trust each other they carried bio scaners with themselfes all the time. They dreamed nightmares(more than before). This affected their morals tremendously.
