Wow, didn't realise it'd be over the limit....how do you keep file sizes down?
cherikit-chan (Jul 12, 2004)
Wow! I like the skin tones and the nice glare the glases have :)

Well I don't know for sure either jimbob but I do know that canvas size is a big determinant of space used..as are the layers... I am always amazed how much space I am using after I see interim version posts..

Layers are evil, I sometimes get confused with them. I'm retarded.

I like the use of layers in this one, you can actually tell you used them.

Yup, supposedly canvas size and layers are the biggest eaters of space. But, I still can't keep my file size down. I go over almost every time. Oh and nice image, by the way. The reflection o nthe glass came out really nicel.

Actually, I would say that the biggest culprit of space hogging is gradient shading (i.e. fading from one color to another). If you only use a non-antialiased (pixelated) brush on full opacity the entire time, it's unlikely you'll ever go over the limit. Water-color style brush strokes take up much more space, because they create lots of in-between colors.

VERY interesting, Zack. Thanks... I've been wonderin' the same thing. I'm always afraid to safety save if I have to leave... for fear that I'm over. So I'm one known to leave the applet open for the entire time.
