Well, here are some pointers for the future: First of all, it is always easier if you sketch your picture first, with a light color. Then on a separate layer, you can go over it darker, with black. You can use the pencil tool, or the watercolor tool. I prefer watercolor. To make water color darker, you have to keep going over it. Memo me if you need anymore help.
I especially like the eyes and how you outlined it (the upper eyelid) instead of doing it solid black. To improve it (tho' its already very nice) I might fix the ear; I must agree with sal that they're very nice ears, but they are lopsided. If you moved the one on the left down it might help. And if you moved it down you would also probably have to fix the hair, notice how it comes down and is kinda perpendicular to the ear (on the left)? It should probably be going in more, like on the right. One last critique, you might want to erase inside of the bangs, so you don't see his hairline coming through. Other than that, nice job. ^^ I can't wait to see it finished!
