40 and Over Vision Wear

Wear these and you'll be able to:

-Alienate and be alienated by younger generations.
-New styles of music will make you feel ill and very disturbed.
-Refer to the "good old days" once or twice a day.
-Reject anything that poses a threat to your routine.
-Be skeptical of new ideas, feel threatened by change.
-Remind anyone younger than you that "you know better".

People will notice something different, something older about you, but what could it be?

Just tell them "I just got me a new pair of 40 Vision's! They're Swell!"

BUT remember, you don't have to put them on ...although, if you don't, you won't fit in and even worse...you won't be swell.

I wish I could wear the 40s.. sadly I'm in the rockin chair on the porch..scowling and grumbling about "these kids today..(the ones 39 to 45) ,but no worries,, I still have my polyester liesure suit and my white belt and shoes....... (Now THIS is the way to voice dissent! Artistically!) lol
By the way...I KNEW better,,,but I forgot.....

Basically the idea is, you can age gracefully and open-minded OR become a walking time-capsule, mentally and sometimes physically. It's your choice, just turn 40 OR put on your 40 Visions. Progress doesn't stop at 40.

My philosophy on that is, if you keep your toys and an appreciation of toys, you won't ever get "old" in your mind.

how comical, and yet, how true. I think most of the time I wear my "16" vision glasses... I'd like to stay just terminally in a permanent childhood. You know what this made me think of, Clox? You are still in your twenties, right?... when I was twenty-something my Grandmother told me that somewhere around thirty my "eyes" would behave like a snake shedding it's skin and I would see everything in the world so much more clearly. At the time I didn't understand what she was talking about, but sure enough, around 30 something happened and I did view things with more wisdom and understanding. Don't you think that would make a great drawing? A person with snake-skin eyes peeling off? It isn't something I could draw, but I bet you could do it! (please? :)

Agreed on the toy issue! You're only as old as you feel, and most people feel like kids again when they have a toy even if they're 90. If ya ever hand an old lady a doll she had as a kid I bet she could remember everywhere she played with it growing up. Time makes you age.. but the kid in you stays forever.

hmm guess they don't have 21's.. dernit.. ah well, I can wait a few months for the 22's
