'And she looked to the night sky, peering at her own constellation. She traced the placement of each star with her claw, all four of her black eyes narrowed angrily. "You don't know what it is like... To carry such a burden..." '

Heh, my first stab at computer graphics ^.^' It's not very good, but I still like it... Gawd, my hand hurts now. Scorpio is a Zodiac Guardian over the constellation Scorpio (obviously). Right now, she's a bit pissed off... DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND AND CATCH A SCORPION FOR REFERENCE?! -blinkblink-

Hmmm. This good for a "first"!!
I think you did a nice job, but here are a few pointers ;).
1, use water color lines, and use layers if you haven't yet.
2, Like I said, if you use watercolor lines, you will ont have any white spaces.
3, your shading is alright, mabby watercolor shading or blur it too. Some highlight would be nice too!!.
4, Try different thing for a background next time. ;)

1)You don't have to use watercolor lines. It isn't an unwritten rule, or something like that. You can get equally great pictures from usage of either solid or watercolor lines.
2)Watercolor lines have nothing to do with getting white spaces in your coloring, unless you use the paintbucket.
3)The blur tool is highly overrated.
4)Background? Eh. Whatever.

Ha, I'll remember that next time I need to catch a pissed off scorpion.
