I was trying to draw a pearl but didn't have much luck without a smudge tool. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

It's perfect... I love pearls. I have one in my gallery, too. :) You did a great job of giving it that opalescent, pearlescent glow.

if I could see it up close I know I'd like it, but on my pc, this is another one of those disappearing pics, except for the thumbnail...but good job, from what I can see

You need to sharpen up the outer edge..and then it will look more crisp. To blend..set the brush on blend.. use the airbrush set small..put the opacity and the flow down to about 1/2 or less ..thats as close to smudge as you will get. The opalescence is perfect@!

Okay, this is it.. not going to mess with it anymore... sharpened the edges a little. That sharpening brush and I don't get along very well. lol

Thanks, Lori. lol.. I'm not hiding anything... there's just not enough time to spend drawing. Dang it. The pearl is my birthstone. I love them too, Dead. Oooh, I looked at your gallery.. your pearl is gorgeous and so is the shell. : )

This is a lovely depiction of a Pearl, which is very hard to do. You did it masterfully. Congrats, good job.

This is beautiful. I have a pearl in a ring and it looks just like this! Actually tho...I really, really want a pearl 'necklace'...hmm....

it's a very nice pearl. i can almost see right through what's in it. hmm... nothing. but that's a good thing. =)
