I would leave it to get some more crit on its own, but I doubt that'll happen, being on p 7 of most recently added, and p 8 of mest recent comments... I just need to know: any suggestions for finishing this? and should I add a BG? if I should, what should it be, should I try my hand at a realistic BG, or just a color wash (like a portrait)? thank you ^_^!!

I agree with Pantera.. a simple fence and grass. The horse looks wonderful.. great job on the shading, etc.

with it's coloring, I think some hay around it would be good, maybe put him in a horse stall with some hay?

Beautiful. For a bg I would probbaly sugest another horse sniffing the firsts one's but. On the more serious side, an apple tree would look nice. Mabey even a flower or two and some cute little butterflies.
