Wow, so peaceful and warm despite the blazing fire in the picture! and the grass and other plant life is amazing as well as the lighting.

Great pic...wow.
PolythenePam (Apr 25, 2004)
I think the water is incredible...Can you teach me? Lol :)
emmamommalag (Apr 25, 2004)
Lovey picture.. how can a forest fire look so serene?
davincipoppalag (Apr 25, 2004)
You got that glow down DBA.. this reminds me of the forest fire scene in Bambi... (very sad)...
Kloxboy (Apr 26, 2004)
Very warm and beautiful, I like it, it's oh so painterly. I hate forest fires, almost got hit by that fucking Hayman fire a couple years back. Made the air smokey, everything was dirty with ash.
thug (Apr 26, 2004)
wow, my favorite part is the color of the water in the foreground. it's a great reflection of the glow of the fire. Yep, I guess there's a little bit of pyro in both of us. ;)
staci (Apr 26, 2004)
very alilke the original
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 26, 2004)
Thanks.. the reference photograph was pretty dark in places and blurry from all the smoke so it was kind of hard to see details, but I thought the scene was so pretty that it was worth doing.

Very beautiful DB :) I can always tell when you've done a picture cause it oozes DBAwesomeness. I still say it's very neat how you can create a great soft style depicting such intense scenes.
_INGRID_ (Apr 26, 2004)
Very beautiful,i like the colors u've used, can't say more about it..it's just too beautiful!!!
Pandora (Apr 27, 2004)
OH NO Bambi is there. I remember the first time I saw that movie as a kid, I cried and cried for days. lol
You do such beautiful work DBA always looking for your next picture.
xwindflyer (Apr 28, 2004)
This i beautiful. I like the rendering of the water and foilage it really stands out. The reflective glow on the water is very good. Great job.( Ido think some of the flames in the fire are a little too stiff though, too geometric).
Knockoff (Apr 28, 2004)
This is awesome dba! I love the fire, it looks so real. It reminds me when I went out west.
The animals and detail are wonderful.!(esp the grass)
