hehehe....good humor too...i think it´s nice to be you if you did this...look if you are, i´m trying to accomplish the final steps to get a degree (academic magister in communication)....aaaaaaaaaaaaand i´ve been looking for information about to make this nice draw pads online, because i´ll like to include one in my final work, there´s any way to learn, without spend a life learning about java?...pd: i´m a teacher in design, i don´t want to make bussiness with the information requested...pd2: excuse my english, i´m not an english speaker person....bye and thanks
Well there are two parts here, the applets themselves (written in Java by different people), of which I wrote Lascaux Sketch after being fairly dissatisfied with paintbbs and oekakibbs (this was back in the stone age before shi-painter), then the site that you browse (written in PHP, Perl, or some other server-side scripting language. In this case, 2draw was written in PHP by myself).
If you want to make a website where people can draw online, most likely you won't be writing your own java drawing applet. That took me almost half a year. To make a basic site you can either work with an existing one (such as php-based oekakipoteto, or some of the standard perl systems). The original 2draw was scratched together in a few weeks, and before that I made an even simpler site for an art class in a few days....
Then again, it's not entirely clear what you are trying to do. Are you trying to make a website where people can draw online? If so, is it important that you make it, or just have it? Because you can look into setting up one of the pre-packaged systems. Or bug me to get 2draw.net hosted boards working and pay to host one through 2draw with the 2draw interface and whatnot...
uff...thnks a lot ...i´ll think about it....by my side i wanna to make a site with a draw pad in it, and hopefully the capacity to index the images...thanks again...
