Can someone please tell me if there is a Lascaux Tutorial somewhere waiting patiently for me to view it? :) I could have sworn I saw something here about it while browsing but can't find it again. I MUST learn to use all of the tools there! HELLLLP.

On the Lascaux applet page, you will find that it says 'Hover cursor over tool to see a description of what it does'. Try that.

Yes, I've seen the tool descriptions, but there's prolly a little more to it than that and I wanted something more in depth. Thanks for responding, tho :)

Well, there isn't anything like that yet, sorry. But I have been meaning to write one for the site... Have you used Photoshop? It's quite a bit like that. If not, I suppose that's all I can say. Just that.

*doesn't use lascaux* -___- Sorry. But that's the reason; the huge mass of tools confuse me. Good luck finding someone to explain it to you. ^^;;

method3 has actually worked on one, but we haven't put it online because I haven't finished the docs system... too many things to do.

and lascaux doesn't really have any more tools than shi-painter, probably less, in fact.

Never used the shi-painter, (this is only the 3rd drawing applet at all ive ever used, and only been drawing on the comp for a couple of months) It's an awesome creation, I'm determined to figure out everything it'll do - guess I'll just take some time and play around with it.

Thanks for the replies. : )

You should give shi-painter a try. Very nice. But keep at lascaux. There's only a few here that can use it well.

I know its oekaki poteto..but on the one I use, there is a link to a tutorial (manual) that describes the functions of the various available tools. They arent the same, but many are very similar and that may be of some use in helping to understand the lascaux array.. http://www.wesketch.net hit the link for the oekaki

Oh yeah, I was working on a pretty involved tutorial for Lascaux but it would also incompass some ideas you can use in the other applets as well. Unfortunately things are pretty hectic so no idea when things'll get done and posted for sure.
