I've seen this a bunch now ...
It's not right to tell new users to not share their work, especially when they're so considerate to post it to the beginner board. They're young, they're having fun drawing, and they're learning. And perhaps they're drawing with a touchpad, which is painful when you do it for too long. It's always been this way.

Compare this to the present. Looks just the same.
We can also drop the Showcase nostalgia. The "showcase" is the tiniest fraction of what got actually posted. Furthermore there's lot of art that would never get considered for the showcase which is nonetheless fabulous.
