Very impressive, Dave. Wish I knew as much as you do about sailing ships. I'm reading the Master and Commander books, loving them but don't understand the sailing terms.

I walked on the ship they used in that movie of that book..That was a replica of the English ship HMS Rose that had been kept here at Captain's Cove in Bridgeport Ct for several years before she was sold. There certainly are a load of sailing terms sailingprimer or or this glossary
