The fouth edit was good....the 5th is not so good...
Me likes the sparkly bits on the 5th tho....

This looks very cool, I like the woodgrain the best, and the glow on the ciggy. The silhouette is very cool, folds and hair and everything, so awesome. I just don't really understand what the dark bit is...a windowshade? Mebbe it's just too dark on my monitor. :D

this is nice overall, but I feel cheated on the details. It'd be nice if his shoes, pants, the wall (near floor) were a bit more realistic and not so undefined (especially when compared to the silhouette).

ohhh thanks for the suggestions, peeps. this was a sort of practice with light and shadow. i think i'll do another silhouette pic, taking into account everything you guys said. yay for constructive criticism! ^__^

it's already an awesome image, like the mood and the composition. one thing i might suggest if you want to work on this further is adding a little light coming through the blinds, like red sunlight or something, then you could add some details but still keep it shadowy. but really nice all the same :)
