YES, I am disturbing art discussion w/ big tech question? my ancient Sony tv is going green, dying; can i hook up my cable tv line AND my vcr/dvd player, to my computer monitor, and get computer mechanics to rig up tv thru computer or just the monitor?
I saw on tv and read, college kids route their tv into computer monitor, & computer, to SAVE SPACE IN ROOM.I thought it was GENIUS; STOP WASTING MORE SCREENS, SPACE, AND NOT BUYING MORE BIG HARDWARE for yer cramped living room. One fella i know, suggested a "projector" for tv, not what i was looking for. I just don't wanta buy a dumb tv again! nothing would come close to my old, 25 yr. old Sony 19 in. tv anyhow.the old Sony was so good, great picture quality, never needed repair!getting a badly made new one, after the Sony, would be like being the widow of a king, and having to consider marrying the 2nd time, to a shoe-salesman. ugh.Since those college kids just fixed their tv service thru their monitor & computer, can't i find someone to do this to mine? Does it over-load the computer, harm it? Anyone else heard of this? is it heard of elsewhere? would good computer repair-man know how to do this?thanks, signed, "WANTS TO MARRY TV CABLE LINE TO COMPUTER/MONITOR, IF COMPUTER IS SUFFICIENT"! |
