There is a lot of movement like vibration almost, yet contained in it's own little spaces of swatched colour, almost segregated. There is some suggestion of blending yet not totally...which is necessary to keep the unique colour. Makes me think about countries like here in Australia with so many different cultures (colours) that are vibrant and try to all 'blend in' together yet inside know it isn't possible otherwise you lose that 'unique colour'. If that makes sense.
I was using the square brush.. and sometimes I have a light touch that creates what may look like those vibrations you said. Blend was definitely used.. I use blend a lot in my art. I have always wanted to go to Australia and scoff me some opals!
