if you hold alt and rclick inside the brush editor you can make a thin (long or short) brush. holding ctrl and r rclick will let you angle the brush. setting the spacing tool slider 'C:' to about 1/3 in creates the 'lines'. using jtablet opacity sensitivity with blend checked gives the stutter gradient color effect.

That's quite smart, I knew those features, but never thought of combining them in such a way.
