imperfect- this is the point of reference/study, to develop your feel/memory for form and lighting.
for me, the approach is, start with a crap drawing, then adjust it until it looks less deformed.
also, its not like i imagined a particular face, and drew it from my imagination... c"

Yeah, that makes sense what with the dark hair and all. Reminds me of Karen Allen for some odd reason.

Aye, I think it's more to do with the facial expression. Karen Allen has a similar facial expression too.
