I would love someone to give some tuts or advice on colouring, shadowing and composition. Its the thing that blocks me the most from reaching a higher level :(

OK. first of all, use good colors. Second of all, light goes straight. And third of all, use one and two to arrange a pleasing pattern. There ya go!

Yeah girl..you just need to observe and practice on what you observe.
