Lookit Axil, he's got all the women swooning, I betcha he's holding his head real high right about now... either that, or he just farted this painting out and went to bed like it was nothing
Perfectly captured, like as if reflecting back on a childhood with a bright sunny morning and amongst friends thinking how nice and simple times were back then.
Honey, I tell ya', I swooned so hard if I hadn't been laying down already, I prolly woulda hit my head on something hard like and passed out for like, oh and hour or something.
You and Roytje have a great way in interpreting a photograph, rather than slaving over the usual -and tedious- exact duplication of the original. Excellent job here.
I'm blown away with this one, wow!!! This has got to be one of my very fav. drawings on this site. I so love this style, picture and everything about it. Love it!!!
I appreciate this work very much. There's one tiny point that my eye keeps going to and I don't want it to go there. The second girl from the right...the oblong circle on her neck. I know...it's supposed to convey something, but it's distracting to me. Love love love the light and the laughter.
I dont like it how only a select few get to showcase, because then the showcase only caters for a certain taste. It's the only way people can air their views. Maybe if everybody gets one showcase ticket a month so they can showcase their favourite picture that would be alot fairer. And if somebody has already showcased their favourite they can showcase another one instead, or they dont even have to showcase one that month if they dont want too.
It bugs me aswell when people think something to be showcased, especially when I dont think it should be showcased. But I've done it myself when I like a drawing, so what can you do. Thats not saying this shouldn't be showcased, because I'm a fan.
I often come back to this drawing because it is that amazing. Really outstanding job, love the feel this gives off, but the coloring in it and style really makes it for me. Just had to look at it again. I'd hang this in a heartbeak on a big canvas in my living room and enjoy hearing everyone that steps in my house comment on it.
