and now a list of things that aren't true

When I got home from picking my wife up from dialysis today I took my pants off right away just in case someone asked me to go out in the yard and dig for gold. That way I could just say "Sorry, I already took my pants off."

Yesterday when i got home from the hospital, I hurried up and took two migraine pills and passed out on the couch..just in case someone asked me if I was cooking dinner, then I could say..''sorry, but i'm passed..''

Ok, I already knew that about disassociative disorder,and schizophrenia, they are not the same thing; but people USED TO THINK they were the same, long ago.

Yes, diss. disorder is when your personality splits into several, usually because of childhood,or tot-hood trauma,(usually some kind of bad abuse,ect.) so that one or more of the several personalities, can protect the main personality, from the pain of the trauma,and memory.("Sybil" is one of the best known real cases.) (I knew someone, slightly, who had it; she was very messed up. She had been raped repeatidly as a child,by her dad,and developed it. When she got a deteriorating disk, and was SUPPOSED TO BE in great pain, one or more of her personalities absorbed the pain, so her main one did not need morphine at all. )

Schizophrenia, in my mind, (??) is even worse; you're walking down the street(I am told) and suddenly, you start seeing things, ect., that are not there. Voices that are not there,in your head; hallucinations that are not there. It messes up your life, but there are schizophrenics, who hold down jobs. Yes. Getting all that under control, so it does not disrupt yer life, constantly, is the key. Meds; whatever. It tends to strike---get this---young adults, 18 thru 24, the most. There are organic types of schizophrenia,and non-organic. "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" was a fictional novel.

However, a researcher told me, that 60 percent of the people who wind up in mental hospitals, had some type of sexual or physical abuse, as kids. Yeah, abuse by whoever raised you (usually continuous, not just one time) is often what makes people seriously mentally ill,or just very very sick.

However, you can have paranoia, of people,groups, ect.; and phobias, of all kinds, under the diagnosis"borderline personality disorder"(with depression) and some shrinks say, it's WORSE THAN MENTAL ILLNESS. (It is judged to be a "emotional illness")and you still wind up in the hospital, cannot work, cannot function, cannot have relationships, and often live alone, the rest of your life. OH, and it HURTS MUCH WORSE. (The emotional pain is much worse, than a strictly mental illness.) People with "borderline" or just some type of :"personality disorder" are likely to feel so bad,anxious, pain, ect, ect., they kill themselves. And, many shrinks believe it cannot be cured, either.

Thus, many shrinks give up on "borderline personality disorders" or just "personality disorders"(like versions where the person is very anti-social.)--who are adults. Unlike meds for schizophrenia, there are no effective meds, nothing, for "borderline personality disor. "or the other versions. Objective reports say that only 40 per cent of the illness, at the most,can have progress in healing. (IF that.)--and the version (with )depression, is even harder to help. You can regard severe personality disorders as about as incurable as a schizophrenia diagnosis. Although it's classed as a :"emotional illness," not a "mental illness," it is just as disruptive, incapacitating,and incurable as the severe mental illnesses. (And it is reported to EMOTIONALLY HURT WORSE.)

Given the choice between "borderline personality disorder"(with depression) and schizophrenia, or disassociative disorder, (the last 2 being mental illnesses) I think I would choose to have a couple idiot more personalities, or see pink elephants that were not there. (There are combinations , sometimes, mental illness, with emotional pain.) The SEVERE emotional illnesses, like borderline personality disorder, still mess up yer life,and make you feel much pain, just as much as schizo, or disassoc., so in reality, the mental illnesses are not WORSE ILLNESSES. People with schizo- can sometimes still work, do things. (Sometimes they get sick, recuperate,and go back to work.)

Depression, which is termed an "emotional illness", involves millions of people in the US,and chronic depression, as well.Over the decades, severe depression is said to be more widespread in the US.

One theory as to why is the "Optomistic American" theory; American culture encourages everyone to be HAPPY, ALL THE TIME. NO NEGATIVE FEELINGS EXPRESSED, PLEASE. Americans deny bad feelings, repress them,and use alchohol, drugs, food, substances, ect.,behavior,so, when you have sad,painful feelings, you are told to ZIP IT UP. SUCK IT UP. "dRINK, TAKE A PILL,AND SHUT UP!!"

sO, Americans repress feelings, bad ones,and use booze, drugs, sex, food, shopping, rather than feel it, or express it. As a consequence, bad feelings are never acknowledged,and they stay in you. Eventually, they all depress you, like a huge ,massive rock. It hurts so much, you may try to kill yourself, or you may feel NOTHING. DEAD inside. You may get very low energy. (If you start this cycle as a child, by the time you're an adult, you may have a "depressive reaction,"i.e.,get a clinical depression, or try to kill yourself, and they often put you in a hospital, give you antidepressants. The antidepressants actually create more brain cells, cause the depression is KILLING THEM. YES, clinical depression is "pathological, "(i.e., a "physical" illness.) Your brain cells are being destroyed, and that's why you feel like your're dying; you are.

Very bad trauma, (especially when young,) or undue stress, can cause these illnesses. Rape, sexual,physical abuse, even emotional abuse are often the main causes. War-time experiences in the lives of kids, can produce schizophrenia in the adult,or other severe emotional or mental illnesses. "Severe trauma, or severe stress on the young,"causes mental or emotional illness in the adult, basically. (Neglect, too.)

Sorry for giving you too much info.; I'm an accumulator of this info, and often, most people do not know a lot. So this "lies" thing got me started. (Shit, black holes are not that dangerous? dang!!) Now, they think migraines, fibromyalgia, can have mental-emotional causes.THE BRAIN!! YEP. I say, find real cures,or start operating on the brain, to see what laser surgery can do. "Talk-therapy" is so limited, I would rather have a nuero-surgery cure. They already use meds on mental illnesses, the next step is "clean out those corridors of the BRAIN!! Zonk those erroneous pathways! (also addictions could be cured, that way.) Maybe even "tiny-surgery-bots"??Neurology is the new frontier.

(sorry about this rant on mental/emotional illness; if you like, move it to a whole section of it's own,or, you da boss, kill the whole thing. Mental and emotional illness can MAKE YOU PHYSICALLY ILL,OR GIVE YOU A PHYSICAL DISABILITY. NO JOKE. "This has been an ad, for neruological cures of mental/emotional illness, thank you!" The best thing would be, to stop all the abuse, neglect,. ect., of youngsters, so people do not get mentally/emotionally ill. Fat Chance.
