Yes, we almost got blown up, except for the FBI,in Portland,Oregon, and hundreds of kids would have died, not to mention parents.Whew!!Who ever said,"the kids are alright"? (I knew someone here would find this offensive, cause black comedy,or sarcastic humour is not widely accepted in the world.Unless you're in the middleeast, making cartoons of Jews. I'm not apologizing for this, either, cause I'm just calling it like we see it here. If it were not for the FBI sooner or later this "kid"would have blown up people in Oregon, when he got old enough to get it all together. The Thurston High killer was not ok,nor were the Columbine ones, nor the Oklahoma bombers, so neither is this one. In America, plenty of Liberals make fun of Christians and Southerners all the time, so it's not like it does not go on,on the other side too. Making jokes, even bad ones,is how I often handle bad stuff; make wise cracks, ect. The atmosphere here,in this state, is not good now. )

I shouldn't be suprised that there are people in this world that take delight in killing people, especially children. That boys family probably wishes they had left him in Somalia. He blames them because the stopped him from joining the jihad. I feel sorry for the women that have the misfortune of being born in that area. If he gets a life sentance mabe he will decide that what he had before wasn't so bad. I have worked in the jails in California so know what it is like.I hope he enjoys bending over for a cavity search
Miss_DJ (Nov 30, 2010)
I hate the fact that his would be victims now get to pay for his 'stay' in any jail. Viva la death penalty.
pawillie (Nov 30, 2010)
well, the other prisoners may solve that
padmooks (Dec 1, 2010)

this piece is fucking offensive.
pawillie (edited Dec 2, 2010)
what is offensive about it mooks? She covered murderers on both sides of the fence in her comment or don't you find wanting to murder children offensive?
Bacchae (Dec 2, 2010)
When people will stop blaming a religion or a race for the world atrocities, and when they will recognize that Stupidity and Hatred are universal problems found in people regardless of their origin or their religion, then maybe I might be able to believe there's hope for the human race.
pawillie (Dec 2, 2010)
I agree

Seriously? Christians did that? I must have missed the news that day.
So how did it go down? All the Christian churches got together after all
the Muslim bombings and said "That's it, we've had enough." and went
out and purchased the US military and kicked out everyone that wasn't Christian
and flew over there? Shit, I must have missed that one.
Roytje (Dec 3, 2010)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMiqEUBux3o&feature=related

Watch it especially after 3;40.
Axil62 (Dec 3, 2010)
Oh yeah, I remember that. Wasn't that right after the Muslims murdered 3000 people in New York?
Not to mention all the other bombings I mentioned earlier? When you say "especially after 3:40" do
you mean the part where he says "This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in
our resolve for justice and peace"?
backmagicwoman (Dec 3, 2010)
Seems to me you are more concerned with indirectly expressing your contempt for Christians...or maybe it's just that you couldn't give a rat's ass what's happened to all those innocent people killed here unless it's because you don't live here and don't care if they blow us right off the map...I wonder if you'd feel the same if they were bombing your country every other day and killing all your people...and if you retaliated would we then be justified in saying..'' Atheists bombing @ so and so...Atheist s bombing @ this so and so..etc ...etc..''.and then Gee!..how narrowminded would we be for assuming that everyone who fought for your country was an atheist.
lori (Dec 3, 2010)
Yes, Dorothy, Muslims live in America. No big news.
Roytje (edited Dec 3, 2010)
I know I was talking bullshit. I hope the other people knew it from themselve, too.
backmagicwoman (Dec 3, 2010)
I'd like to believe that, buit I've seen you attack christianity on here more than once before..so I just can't be sure.
Roytje (Dec 3, 2010)
I said it wrong. I wanted to say: I'm talking the same 'bullshit' as Axil.
Teapot (Dec 3, 2010)
I tend to feel the way Bacchae does. Something that helped me cope with my tendency to lump all Muslims together was reading the book "Three Cups of Tea". It also reinforced my thinking that the only way these issues of terrorist extremist violence will ever be resolved is through education, not war, not retaliation. It's a long term, big picture approach and will not be popular with Americans and others who have been directly affected by the mindless violence. If you doubt that there have been massive atrocities perpetrated by Christians on non-Christians then you haven't read your history. Religious extremists of all ilk tend to prey on the hopeless and undereducated, offering them the promise of (fill in the blank) in order to control them. War doesn't work, it's a hideously wasteful and futile answer to this problem and only benefits the arms manufactures and other big business. Really, to blame terrorist activities on Muslims, in general, is about as accurate as saying The Knights of Columbus are the same as The Inquisition. On the other hand, every meeting in a Muslim mosque begins with the Mullah asking Allah to help him and his people triumph over the Infidel. And, folks, if you ain't a Muslim you is The Infidel. That needs to be changed if Muslims expect us to believe they are a peaceful people.
davincipoppalag (Dec 3, 2010)
It will never be solved..look back 1010 years
backmagicwoman (edited Dec 3, 2010)
I do know my history and never implied that christians haven't perpetrated acts of violence...but if you and others are gonna adopt the attitude of not lumping all in one category because of the actions of some, then you have to adopt that attitude for all walks of life and not pick and choose..That's like people assuming your'e a racist redneck just because your'e from the south...and so if I am of the christian faith then obviously I am believed to be undereducated and deluded, is that right?...or is is because I am an american..or because I'm southern..or maybe because I got tattoos or because I eat a certain food you don't like..come on, tell me, which is it?
davincipoppalag (Dec 3, 2010)
It's the pineapple on the pizza
backmagicwoman (edited Dec 3, 2010)
Indeed...,,if someone broke into your house and began to rob and harm one of your own, would you really stop to care what their religion or race was before you protected your own.?
davincipoppalag (Dec 3, 2010)
Nope.. Shoot first feel tv remorse later
Roytje (Dec 3, 2010)
I completely agree with you Teapot.
backmagicwoman (Dec 3, 2010)
Of course you do, contradiction needs followers, too...I bet Bill Maher is your hero, except where it pertains to muslims, of cours.
Roytje (Dec 3, 2010)
Someone I don't know, can't be my hero.
backmagicwoman (Dec 3, 2010)
Quite honestly..I didn't expect that you would know him..maybe you should look him up..he's very anti religious, too..Oh wait, damnit, your'e not anti rligious are you, just anti christian..tsk..tsk..so sorry, my bad...
Roytje (Dec 3, 2010)
I have no idea where you're talking about. Anti christian? What?
backmagicwoman (edited Dec 3, 2010)
Your'e kidding, right...do you deny it, then?..on this site I have been insulted at least twice for my beliefs..the first time I was called ignorant...and today I am a hopeless, undereducated person being controlled and am contributing to arms manufacturers and big business...I would never insult someone so viciously over what they believe..and this from the people preaching equality and non judgement for the masses...breaks my heart.
Roytje (Dec 3, 2010)
I don't like the ideas of some of the christians indeed, but that doesn't mean I'm an anti christian. Just like you said; I don't lump all christians in one category because of the actions of some.
backmagicwoman (Dec 3, 2010)
You said you totally agree with what Teapot said..Teapots comment about christians was all encompassing...
Teapot (Dec 3, 2010)
BMW, I was not thinking of you nor referring to you. I don't know anything about you and would not presume to do so. I don't know why you are defensive or why you would choose to identify with being 'undereducated and deluded'. I certainly have not, nor would I ever, make the sort of assumptions you are attributing to my words and thoughts. In fact, I am finding it impossible to see how you have turned a discussion about Muslim extremism, terrorism and armed response into a personal attack on you and your beliefs or cultural particulars. Religion and religious extremists scare me more than just about anything else I can think of. That doesn't mean that I imply an automatic judgment of people who choose to have a religion. I understand why people want and need religion, for many reasons. I respect and honor their right to have their own beliefs as long as they are willing to respect me and mine. FYI, I have always loved, admired and tried to follow many of the teachings expounded in the Christian bible as well as teachings in other religions that seem to me to propose a way of guidance for us to be compassionate and ethical beings. I don't like what I see happening when religious beliefs become a license to kill others, or are used to judge and control others who do not share in the same mindset. I am American, too. I lived in Macon, Georgia for part of my life. And I probably eat much weirder food than you do. I'd get a tat if I wasn't so old and saggy, so I really don't get why you have such a desire to pick a fight with me. Seems to me that you're jumping to a lot of wrong conclusions. I swear to myself that I am not going to get sucked into these pointless debates on this website. I'm always sorry when I do because there are so many mean-spirited people here.
backmagicwoman (Dec 3, 2010)
maybe you'd better read your other statement again...I don't consider taking up for my religion being mean spirited...all religions have perpetrated against other religions..not just christians against non christians..i myself am perfectly content to let people believe what they will...I wish I had my regular internet so I could link for you everytime someone draw anything connected to Jesus and God or even just crosses so you can see how many people here jump to tell them how very stupid they are to believe in such things..and yes Roy, I have seen you contribute your two cents top the same pictures before....You didn't mean youir comments towards me..i get that, fine, great...but when you refer to christians as being hopeless and undereducated..what do you expect to happen.
Teapot (Dec 3, 2010)
I think it is you who needs to reread what I wrote. I said that religious extremists prey on the hopeless and uneducated. I was talking and thinking about the Taliban, which refers back to the book I mentioned in the beginning of my statement, 'Three Cups of Tea'. And, again, I was not thinking of you when I said this site has a lot of mean-spirited people. I've not perceived you as being mean but you sure seem determined to take offense when none is meant.
Suntan (Dec 3, 2010)
Some things in the Koran need to come out of the Dark Ages and brought to be relevant to the 21st Century. It was written when? 6th century? Same goes for the Bible. People manipulate the meanings to fit what they want it to fit and call it "in the name of religion" Ridiculous. Who is the leader of Islam anyway?? Is there a head Imam?? Wtf can't the Pope and the Islamic Head of Religion get together and effing bring things up to today. Makes me sick when these angry, easily led, uneducated go off in the name of their religion to reach effing paradise. If that was you or I, caught in Somalia doing this...off with our heads and recording it.
Axil62 (Dec 3, 2010)
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book

This is what I learned today: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abrahamic_religions
And this is what I hope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU278yFdvgQ
Suntan (edited Dec 4, 2010)
yeah, Axil..I was spouting from frustration..but they could do it if they wanted to. The Catholic church, changes things when they want...for instance... the Pope now says condom use is ok in rare instances to stop the spread of disease...also, diocese across the country can decide if they will give a waiver to Catholics to eat meat during the Holy Week of Easter, if St. Patrick's Day falls then. God forbid you should not have corned beef with your beer.
Seems to me, that these religious leaders could somehow talk and come up with some way to help stop the spread of disease called killing in the name of God. Just saying. :\
backmagicwoman (Dec 4, 2010)
What's bad is that God never said to kill on his name..''Vengeance is mine saith the Lord''...killing others is a sin against God..it says so with the Ten Commandments...so their really just doing it for themselves...I'm sure some would say that's just more of my Christian nonsense, though.:(
Suntan (Dec 4, 2010)
Yes, that is true for our religion but, I was speaking of their religion,.... the "religion" of the extremists..they did/do kill in the name of their God..called Allah....which was written about during the 6th or 7th century by or with the prophet Muhammed..idk..I'm jsut saying that the books (meaning both) are ancient and may have fit in with the Dark Ages better than today.
Axil62 (Dec 4, 2010)
You sound as if you think that Gods word is simply a collection of made up rules that we should pick through and keep what we like and throw the rest away or at least modify them to suit our desires at the moment. Are you fucking serious? In other words God is old and out dated and didn't have the foresight or wisdom to know what messes we'd make of things so we need to help him out by editing his word for him. "OK God, we'll take it from here, thanks a bunch."
jekyll (Dec 4, 2010)
Uhh, New Testament?
Axil62 (Dec 4, 2010)
So now the New Testament isn't God's word?
shults (Dec 4, 2010)
Not according to Judaism, we believe god knew what he was doing the first time.
Axil62 (edited Dec 4, 2010)
So you believe He knew? Or do you believe He knows?
shults (Dec 5, 2010)
Of course I meant he still knows..Knew refers to time he gave the Torah.

And you see, even though I've just said "I meant", It doesn't mean I don't mean the same now, all it means is that I stated something about 7 hrs ago, and I still think the same.
lori (Dec 5, 2010)
my head hurts from reading this
Axil62 (Dec 5, 2010)
shults: Just trying to get a read on whether you agreed with suntan or not and according to your last comment you do not. So we agree.
shults (Dec 5, 2010)
Yes, we do agree on that. I can't decide whether Suntan's suggestion to make adjustments in the Koran is more arrogant or naive.
Suntan (edited Dec 5, 2010)
ah, missed this earlier or I would have responded then:
You went a little over the edge on what I was saying, Axil..what I was saying was...if the catholic church can change things when they see fit for today's world, why no?..so, my wishful thinking was...why can't the Pope, Rabbi's and the Heads of Islam talk about the things that cause/caused such a rif between them. It might help to temper extremist followers and help people everywhere.

EDIT: I am in no way trying to be arrogant. ...or naive. If you think so, so be it...it was just a fucking wishful thought for the fucking world.
And yes, I was fucking serious.
cyclops (Dec 5, 2010)
ah shit the f-bombs are being dropped. ;]
Suntan (Dec 5, 2010)
*sigh* sorry ..i was thinking positives and it came back at me to sound so wrong. :\
shults (Dec 5, 2010)
I actually laughed when I read your last fucking comment :D

Puting the religious problems aside, I think maybe you forgot that religion is sometimes just an excuse, another way to rule the masses.
Suntan (Dec 5, 2010)
You're entitled :D
And as for the second half of your comment...I agree with you AND you said it far more eloquently than I could.
Axil62 (Dec 5, 2010)
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me."

J.C.
backmagicwoman (Dec 5, 2010)
May God have mercy on your soul..Amen.
shults (Dec 5, 2010)
Huh?
dorothyblueeyes (Dec 6, 2010)
I'm afraid I do not think it will ever be solved either; I've looked into all the chimpanzee, and ape behavior feed into ours, and even to chimps in groups killing off other chimp-groups,including the babies,it just sounds like ancient Troy, all over again. The real problem is the HUMAN ANIMAL, not the religion.
lori (Dec 6, 2010)
just don't forget that you're always being watched ooooooooooooooooooo
dorothyblueeyes (Dec 17, 2010)
Hm..."big brother is watching you" is a problem now; my friend in St. Joseph, Michigan, says in that area, they have spy cameras everywhere all the time, on the whole place, taking security surveillance. Ugh. Supposed to be, so they catch crime. Still, it sounds lousy.

The other thing that contributes to all this friction, is the world is too SMALL NOW. Everyone wants the same land, the same resources, the same food, the same work, jobs, manufacturing. There are too many people, and too few of those resources. What international experts are afraid of, is WW3 would come because all the biggest nations want the same oil, and we'll all go to war, to get it. I guess we are already.

On the other hand, global warming may solve our problems; the weather and lack of land, (due to flooding) and lack of useable water, will get rid of a lot of the population. They expect the hot areas to turn into deserts, and the cold area,s to get colder and colder, and wetter. The planet is getting a lot less habitable. So, that may whittle down the populations. At least the wars might get smaller.
lori (Dec 18, 2010)
I meant God is always watching.
dorothyblueeyes (Dec 23, 2010)
Ahh, "God".He/she/it/them means different things to different people; but it is pretty much the same God. (I just heard the most perverse David Letterman "Top Ten signs it's xmas time in NYC", ha ha, pretty bad.) Those of us who are older, even in their 50;s or 60's, have to start thinking about "what's it going to be like,to die,and be dead? What happens? Where do i go??" and it's on my mind, once in a while. if you had a really tough life, and it looks like a lot of people here, have, then you might ask, "Ok, I had a tough life,it was hard, and now I'm going to die; PHOOEY!!"

I have decided, before I kick the bucket some day, to go to a good hypnotist, with a friend along, and try to find out if there is any factual evidence to the theory of re-encarnation or not. Yeah, try to "get regressed." If there is nothing there, upstairs, except me, fine. But if there are any past lives, I just want to know about them. It's something I've always been curious about, so I think I'll do that, just "look to see if anything else is there." Then, I can go with my curiosity satisfied.
