Use washed out colors and shade the skin with a smooth gradient. I would not suggest using cell-style shading for the skin, as I have already stated, but it would present a nice contrast if you cell-shaded the shirt. Paint the terrace as non cell-shaded and add a washed out and hazy background. You will have a truly captivating picture.

Very well then. Ignore my advice. Let it be upon your head if the world should stop and the fires of hell be unleashed upon the peoples of the earth because of your ignoring my well meaning advice. Regardless, this is an awsome pic and you should be proud of your achievement. Besides, now that I look at this I see that you did follow some of my advice (use washed out colors....cell-shade the shirt). You may want to color the line art to match the coloring inside the lines, the brown really stands out. The hair and the shirt are the sections that need attention.

o i`m sry i didn`t even c ur comment i was probly alredie drawing again when you sent it i just saw the comment when i submited the 2nd verson ill touch up the bg a bit with some blurey looking buildings & shade the line art to mach the hain & shirt Like u suggested tomarrow actualy this was an exparament i`m glad some one liked the way it came out ^^ thnx

Nice picture. The arm seems too big, or the bead is too small. The background is kind of simple. Nice lineart. :3

ok i`m done now i like the soft feal of the pickey (so did compresion) & yes I am aware that my spelling sux i type ininstant mesage style short hand most of the time so just ig nore my bad spelling k ^^

this has such a wonderful soft feeling to it...like a dream. nice. i especially like the detail of the barcode on her arm. whats the story behind it? (if there is any) ^__^
