Safety save yet again...in a coffee shop, I love the wood grain! That pumpkin is giving me hell...
For once I'm taking my time and fully enjoying my piece and by splitting it up into a few days' work I think it's turned out better than most of my other pieces.
Now that I look at this piece I really shoulda done it sooner so it could have been entered in the Halloween Contest because I love the outcome! Any tips/suggestions are welcome and will be greatly appreciated! <3
your woodgrain is very nice and the light in the pumpkin is perfect and I like the detail in the candy, the jar needs more work, the highlights are in lines and are a little dull, to draw highlights you need to decide where your light source is and what type of light source it is, either natural light or artificial, try taking a bottle and look at how the light is reflected, this can give you a better idea for how to draw it, it is good that you took your time and thought out what you were doing
Thank you for your advice pawillie I will definitely try to practice some more with the highlights and shading, and you're absolutely right! I took my time on this piece bcuz life is stressful and I needed a break from fast-paced sh!zznit!
you are sure right, life is stressful, it is good to take some time out to do something fun, at least this is free and and you don't have to clean up afterwards
#1 reason I love this site so much! No messes if I wanna watercolor and if I change my mind I can airbrush/pencil/pen/ink/acrylic paint/blur/smudge/darken/lighten....etc
