3 days in art school and already I can see the energy and excitement you must be feeling. Great paintings are like great poetry--they leave out everything extraneous while illuminating something beautiful or profound with deft simplicity. And that's what this has. The lighting, the energetic strokes, the emotional content. I love the way this painting moves your eyes from her face up to the hand then back to the splash of colour on her body then back to reexamine her face.
