I really like this one so far, great job.
Also, I'm working on finding a good reference pic of virtually the same thing, so that's cool, you beat me to it. lol

This is nice, but it just seems strange to me that a male would want to draw a pic of a pregnant woman......being a male....you have no idea what it is like to be pregnant, or what it feels like to go thru childbirth. Sometimes I wish it was the other way around.....that males would be the ones to get pregnant and go thru childbirth.....that is the only way you would really understand what pregnancy is all about.......nonetheless......this pic is off to a great start......I hope that you will actually "finish" this one flubadub......I'm kinda curious though.....what made you decide to do a draw of a pregnant woman???
Flubbles (Apr 9, 2010)
I understand fully. When I've had a really big meal and I'm so full I get stomach cramps and it has to come out my asshole in the form of a big turd. It's such a relief when you've squeezed it out.
enirroc (Apr 9, 2010)
Comparing childbirth to taking a shit really isn't so pleasant.
firecracker (Apr 9, 2010)
Your answer just proves my point flubadub......you really have absolutely no clue as to how complex the whole process of being pregnant and going thru childbirth is......it's something that only a woman can understand. That's why I don't fully understand you doing this draw.....you seem to have a very immature view of what going thru childbirth is all about. Nevertheless.....you are doing a great job with this draw so far......
enirroc (Apr 9, 2010)
I don't think he REALLY compares childbirth to bathroom business.
Flubbles (Apr 9, 2010)
You dont need to fully understand, not everything has to be black and white.
enirroc (Apr 9, 2010)
I think pregnant women are very beautiful, especially on an artistic level, and I don't think drawing them is really restricted to only females. The miracle of life takes both a man and a woman. Men may not have to go through childbirth, but I don't know, I think they can still appreciate it in it's complete beauty.
firecracker (Apr 9, 2010)
Yea......I agree that the miracle of life takes both a man and a woman, and I believe that the majority of married men whose wives are going thru childbirth appreciate it's complete beauty.....but there's still a lot of men out there who don't have a clue to what it's all about. Sometimes I wish I could re-do my own childbirth experience.....my boyfriend wasn't even there for me when I was giving birth.....he took me to the hospital....then he disappeared. I was only a very nieve teenager and I was far away from my home and family. It was a very traumatic and frightening time for me. I was just a kid, and I felt all alone....going thru something like giving birth was all new and a very traumatic experience for me. If I could re-do it.....and be older and wiser......it would probably be a whole different and beautiful experience for me.

there is no way to describe the way it feels to have a new life growing inside you, I know what FC is trying to say

I think it's an oekaki-shi defect, there are odd shadows/colors on her left arm and lower part of belly.
Otherwise, this is really good, and I like the subject though the thought of pregnancy freaks me out.

I've noticed the defect before, I dont really mind it. I like oekaki best, but I do agree you dont get the defect with other applets.
backmagicwoman (Apr 11, 2010)
Beautiful pic Flubbles...and who said drawing pregnant women was solely for women..Not to be a buzzkill..but there is not a lot of beauty to be found in gut wrenching crapms..swollen bladders..peeing every two seconds..not sleeping...constipation with diarrhea...The only beautiful thing I found in pregnancy was when my babies were actually born and I got to raise them and be there mother...the rest of it was torture..besides if you read the Bible. the pain of childbirth was a curse put on us women.
Flubbles (edited Apr 11, 2010)
I'll do a quick revision later to finish it off, I dont wanna make it to perfect.
Teapot (edited Apr 11, 2010)
I like how you can see the baby's heel poking her skin out. The dark patch thing is a monitor adjustment. The best example of it I can remember is the Showcase piece Artiste did of Bob Dylan (go to her gallery and read the post if you are interested in the discussion.) She could not see the big black blotches on her monitor. By your reasoning, FC, I should not draw pictures of automobiles because I'm not a mechanic and can't ever really understand a car, can't draw buildings because I'm not an architect. If we're only allowed to draw something about which we already know every aspect...then I guess we'd have to all give up drawing. You better explain what business you have drawing a suicidal Super Hero...'cause I'm going out on a limb here (yes, pun intended) and assume that you've never been a dead Batman.
Roytje (Apr 11, 2010)
The hands are lovely.
I don't know, but the blue between her arm and breast is a bit of annoying because it isn't the same as rest of the blue in the background.
Flubbles (Apr 11, 2010)
Yea I was going to change that later.
firecracker (Apr 11, 2010)
"Lol" teapot........again, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. It's a free country, and anyone can draw anything they want to draw. I'm not a mechanic either, but I like to draw cars, and I'm not an architect but I have fun drawing buildings, and noooo....I've never been a dead batman....."lol"....but I luv drawing him! I was just curious why flubadub would even be interested in drawing a naked pregnant woman...unless it was to make fun of them.....because he has a tendency to do draws where he is making fun of whatever it is he might be drawing. I just couldn't figure out his reasoning....that's all.....because he is a young single guy, and he doesn't have kids and he just does such weird draws and says such weird things sometimes.....I thought he was makin' fun of pregnant women, because of their big bellies.....and I don't think anyone should make fun of a pregnant lady. Maybe I was wrong about flubadub.....maybe he has a pregnant girlfriend or something....I dunno......but I think maybe you take some of my comments a bit too serious "teapot"......you are allowed to draw anything that your little heart desires....and I truly hope you never stop drawing because of any thing I might say.....:)
Flubbles (Apr 11, 2010)
There was a reason I drew this and it wasn't nothing to do with me finding plumpy pregnant woman amusing, but I'm not going to tell you the reason either.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
You're so secretive.
firecracker (Apr 11, 2010)
I'm glad to know that finding plump pregnant women amusing isn't the reason you drew this pic......I guess you must have a good reason for drawing it......I'm just happy to know that you weren't making fun of such a serious event.....:)

Bobstained (Apr 11, 2010)
I dont think it's a serious event either, some things I find amusing like leaky breasts etc.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
ok, leaky boobs can be pretty amusing, when a friend of mine was having her first kid, she used to walk around spraying her boyfriend with milk. It was like a one-sided water gun fight, minus the water and the gun.
Bobstained (Apr 11, 2010)
Did she do it with other people around? I wanna be her friend too.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
lol, she did, but just our group of friends. She never did it around strangers.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
Haha, I imagine you doing something like that.
Bobstained (Apr 11, 2010)
I would, but I'd have to put my swimming goggles on so I dont get squirted in the eye.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
Good thinking. I'm sure that wouldn't feel pleasant.
Bobstained (edited Apr 11, 2010)
You should know what it feels like, I'm sure you've got jizzed in the eye before.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
:P no, I haven't done anything like that.
firecracker (Apr 11, 2010)
well, after my daughter was born, I started to breastfeed her....but I wasn't able to keep doing it, because I ran out of milk......the reason I ran out of milk ,was because my boyfriend ,(who later became my first husband), got a "charge" out of drinking my breast milk.....he said it had kind of a sickeningly sweet taste, but he liked it...."lol"! We were both just teenagers back then,,,,,I really didn't know anything about how to raise a baby......
Bobstained (Apr 11, 2010)
Some stories are best left untold.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
Hey firecracker, may I ask how old you are? If you'd rather not say, that's fine, I just always wonder.
Bobstained (Apr 11, 2010)
She's 106.
backmagicwoman (Apr 11, 2010)
LAst year they put me on a medication called reglan for my stomach..and it ended up causing me to make breast milk as a side effect..it was not funny at all..I've been unable to have children for 14 years now..it freaked me out a bit actually..until they told me that reglan is also used on nursng mothers who don't produce enough milk on their own..very strange that a medicine used to digest your food for you would also produce breasdt milk.
enirroc (Apr 11, 2010)
do you think it would do that to people who haven't had kids before too?
backmagicwoman (Apr 11, 2010)
Yeah, it would...it's really weird..lol
firecracker (Apr 11, 2010)
Well, I'm not as old as flubadub thinks I am.....but I am a senior citizen....."lol". Actually.....my daughter is all grown up now, and she has two kids of her own.....so that makes me a grandmother, and I have four step-children.....and they all have kids of their own. Sooo....I have two granddaughters, and six step-grandchildren.......I guess that makes me "older than dirt"......"lolzzz"! :P
