This is very, very nice, enirroc! It has a very painterly look about it =) I'm a believer but I'm not 'religious'. Believing is a Faith, not a religion =) I look forward to the finish!

Yes, offensive if one wants to read it that way...I see the 'artistic' aspect of the piece, and very well drawn artistically I have to say, personally for me it's just an image. It does not portray what I believe in whatsoever, so it does not offend me...my Mother on the other hand, resting in peace now, would be another thing...LOL!
It doesn't offend me either, because I know that no matter how angry Jesus may get at the "world".....He would never give anyone the "finger"...."lol". I really think you did a great job on painting this pic though....His face looks beautiful, and hands are soooo difficult to draw....and you "nailed" it,,,,,,nice draw!! :)

if he came back as this hip new age Christ wearing jeans and a black leather jacket, maybe he'd do this but I don't see that happening.. and I especially don't like the smug look on his face.. that's not the Jesus I know
I think my drawing kinda looks like my friend billy personally. And I don't really believe in jesus, but I figure if he did exist, he wouldn't have been so white. Oh well though, this was based on a reference picture I saw. And it reminds me of the movie dogma, and instead of it being a 'buddy' christ it's an 'eff you' christ.
This one is Jesus Woznieckza. He's from Brooklyn. He used to drive a cab, but the owner of the company had to close up because he couldnt afford health insurance . This Jesus was waiting to cross the street on the way home from there, and a Presidential motorcade was passing by, so he saluted.
Got Christ? Someone should draw the buddy christ, it was hilarious. Dogma was a good movie too. Anyway, personally, if Jesus wasn't so loving (and holy) he probably would give us the bird. I mean... the way some people are, it shouldn't come as a surprise.
This pic makes me wonder who started the tradition of giving people the "finger".....I wonder who was the very first person who did this, and why he did it.....and what were the thoughts behind doing this...."lolz". I'm always curious about how "things" got their start....and I'd like to know who started this givin' people the "finger" thing....hahahaaa! :) I know that Jesus would never do this sort of thing though.....He is "above" all of that.....:)
Thanks "DaVinci" for the link......I didn't think the "finger gesture" would be in "wikipedia".....but now I know where it got it's start......very interesting.....it was used as far back as the ancient Rome and ancient Greek times.....that's amazing!!
I don't think it does, being as I don't think the real jesus would have been so white considering his place of origin (if I actually believed in the man of course), but I do think I did a pretty good rendition of the popular 'white jesus' type.
And if you mean in a more personality based way, I'd say sure. the people of our day and age deserve a holy flip of the bird.
