This looks so cool.. you did a great job on all those veiny lines... I wish the eyes were the same as the bright spot on the forehead(with veins too)... or that maroon color of the veins... but I'll shutup :D I love it too.
I am no eye expert, by far, but it looks to me like the eye near the tear-duct is tilted a bit to far inward. Or as if we are seeing something that normally would be hidden when the head is in that position. Makes sense?
Yes, makes sense, enjoy. Maybe her eye was knocked out of socked when she was beat up? lol! j/k..I keep going back to the lower and/or outter side of that eye but maybe it is the tear duct area....??? hmmmm
HOW Do you do texture so well!?!? Nyah! I wish I could have drawn this. It's freaky, creepy, fairly disturbing, which means I LOVE IT. Unfortunately I can only draw on notebook paper :( Fantastic job, Elly!
I see what you mean about the eye/tear duct area but I wouldn't change it. The textures are brilliant, I love so much about this drawing its hard to know where to start. The lips are almost mangled looking as if she's been silenced in a brutal moment. Insane beauty!
I see this as an old portrait coming "alive". It would make a great book cover for the novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray
If I were to change anything on it, I'd tone down the neck or cover it all together. But this is a real nice surprise from you, Elly!
Wow.....this is really kind of a creepy spooky draw, and I really like how you used textures. Did you use the texture tool at all on this....or are these all your own textures. Awesome draw!! :)
No, fire, i used my own texturing rather than the tool on this one. Thanks for asking, and thank you for your comment! I appreciate yours and all the other's!
OWWW,SO SPOOKY!horriblely beautiful.-like you were in the morgue with Jody Foster, you can even smell it.good illustration for "Twilight" or "Stephenie's body,"yeah,or "Dorian Gray".
(ok,you wanta be picky about the eyes,it's that one,the right hand one,is slightly higher than the other, wheras in a three-quarter view, the right hand one would be slightly lower(I think).Or else, the right hand eye appears somewhat larger than the left. I think, the latter. However, with this amt. of obscured picture, with effects,it's tricky to tell.Is that what you mean?you wanted to be picky, not me,I love the picture.)
I've come back for another look, I'm fascinated by this and I do see the issue with the eye on the right now that it has been pointed out but, I don't think its worth sweating over. The thing DorothyBE said about being in the morgue with Jody Foster hit it right on the head, I could not put my finger on what this reminded me of until she said that. I'm still amazed by that texture, sheer perfection!
Thanks, dorothybe&Tumbling..people tell me I'm a perfectionist....yet, I never see 'perfection' in my work! I guess that's the reason I haven't been cured of 'perfectionalism' LOL!! I may go back and work on this some more after I've gazed upon it longer...thx for the comments and your opinions!!! Y'all rock!
