Have you ever seen te very soft pale orange ones..those are pretty too..they're called old fashioned pie pumpkins..they make the best pies..yummy..

Have to admit garlic did come to mind at first glance of the thumb, but I love it! Especially the way you did the stem curling under like that. You would make a wonderful book illustrator! I also love the little white and light orange pumpkins! And pumpkin pie ROCKS!!!

I immediately thought it was a garlic bulb, also ... then again, I love garlic :) I do love the soft, silky colors.
