this is very tastefully drawn, Suntan...lol..I'm a sucker for black olives, though and some feta cheese, maybe some bread and oil for dipping in....YUM
Now, for yer basic black olive. if they're pitted, you must at least once, put one on each fingertip and then eat them off. Now if they happen to have the pits still in them, you go outside to eat them because of course you have to see who can spit the pit the furthest.
I really love it when you go out to dinner and little plates of olives are served, sitting in seasoned oil..so briny and delish, with crusty bread. yummy. I've never had an olive in a drink though...have you? :)
Thank you, Alice and Dave! <-- ha! I thought you would say that.
MMMmmm yeah. I like going to Italian places where they bring out the warm bread slices in a little basket all wrapped in the cloth thing and they serve the saucer with the spiced oil that you dip the bread in instead of putting butter on it.
I used to like eating olives.....but I can't stand the thought of eating them anymore.....I don't know what happened.....but they just don't taste the same as they used to...."lol"! :)
The thing about olives is...if you get a bad one, they're so nasty and bitter you might think you never want another one. But you have to get back on that horse because the good ones are SO good. Olive tapenade is one of my favorite treats--crushed up with garlic, lemon, and sometimes tahini. It's divine on crostini. This is so pretty, Suntan, the glass looks really nice. Gin is gaggy but you can make a vodka martini instead. Jack? ooowwwh. I don't think so. It don't need no embellishments.
ha, thanks very much, I was trying to channel Axil and his way with light...and never did put one in my Jack. The tapenade sounds very yummy..must try.
