after the storm when all is warm
stems bent every which way
no room to sway
in the stillness of the air
so I lift them gently
lean them on each other

Today I'll see my brother. And my sister. And 5 kids. And the folks. And get groceries. Sigh. I am so buying an icecream today if the weather holds out.
