Great to see you drawing again "catfish"!! I really like this airplane......it reminds me of the "model airplanes" that I used to build when I was a kid. Nice draw!! :)

thanks very much

I built a model plane that was the same color as this one.....it was a fighter plane called a "Jap Zero", and I also built an American fighter plane called a "Hellcat"....it was a deep midnight blue color. These were plastic model plane kits. My brother and I also built model planes that were made out of "balsa wood".....we would have to "pin" all the wooden pieces on a printed pattern....then glue the pieces together, and then cover the fuselage and wings, etc with thin colored tissue-like paper. Then we would stretch a rubber band thru the body of the airplane and connect it to the plastic propellar.....then you could keep winding the propellar that was attached to the rubber band....and you could actually "fly" these awesome balsa wood planes. We used to love building these airplanes when we were kids. Thanks for bringing back such a pleasant memory for me......your airplane draw is really nice. :)

Oh FC we woulda got along fine. I still have several of both yet to build in the basement, alont with a couple ships and some other stuff. Since I got this thing I dont seem to have time for models any more lol.

"Wow"! "DaVinci"!! You have some of those old "balsa wood" model plane kits in your basement!! How awesome is that!!!!!!! I would love to have some of them. I don't think they make them any more. My brother and I would spend "hours" in our basement....putting together those balsa wood airplanes.....it was very time consuming....but we loved it. We loved the plastic model kits too. I did have a couple of plastic model ship kits too. I remember building one that was an aircraft carrier. I preferred the planes though. You are soooo lucky to still have some of those "old time" model kits. Do you think that you will ever find the time to build some of your old model kits?? :)

I had a couple of those planes too.they was fun to play with. Life seemed to be so simple back in those days. But today, the kids will probably never know what it is like to have that kind of fun.

I agree with you "catfish".....life was so simple back in those days. Kids.....nowadays....are too tied up with their computers, and video games, and cell phones, etc......they don't know what having fun is all about...."lol"!! I prefer the more simpler kind of life that we had ...back in the "good ole days". "DaVinci".....you really have an awesome collection of old model kits.......I really hope that someday you will have the time to start building them again. I would love to see that huge wooden "constitution".......:)
