I wish I could draw like you do.
davincipoppalag (Apr 25, 2009)
Don't we all
Miss_DJ (edited Apr 25, 2009)
I don't...no offense...this stuff is too disturbing.
Kloxboy (Apr 25, 2009)
Miss DJ: No offense but I really don't give a fuck if you find it "too disturbing". Just wanted you to know that.
firecracker (Apr 26, 2009)
Another cool draw.......I like your weird, twisted, disturbing draws.......very cool!! :D
Miss_DJ (edited Apr 26, 2009)
My response was to Poppalag saying "Don't we all want to draw like you do"....so I said, "no offense, but, no, this stuff is too disturbing, ....(I wouldn't want to draw it).
That is NOT to say you don't draw it well.
But, obviously you were disturbed by what I said, even though it wasn't meant as a slam at all to your art.
Lighten up, dude....I hope you're not as tormented as these draws depict, not THAT would be disturbing...and sad.
Kloxboy (Apr 26, 2009)
Yeah, it's soooo sad and disturbing that some people are capable of reflecting complex feelings and ideas through art. And don't' worry, it's totally virtuous to be presumptuous, it's damn near godly.
Suntan (Apr 26, 2009)
Such incredible images in this Wade series, Clox. I'm always in awe. I looked back through your gallery for Wade1. Maybe I missed it, maybe it's not there, but I wanted to see the progression in the work. Powerful stuff.
Kloxboy (Apr 26, 2009)
Suntan: Thanks, glad you like it. The first piece in the series I just called "Wade", it's far less distorted than the others. Here ya go: Wade

"totally virtuous to be presumptious, it's damn near godly"...

What the hell, Klox...I simply was hoping that you're not going thru any kind of inner pain that these drawings convey.

"it's soooo sad and disturbing that some people are capable of reflecting complex feelings and ideas through art."

(By the way, anger, pain and rage are the norm in your draws...there are MANY other complex feelings and ideas out there, Klox) It isn't a big 'stretch' for someone to think you may be feeling some of these feelings that you depict in your art. Especially since you do similar representationS of those same feelings frequently.

But, I must have hit some nerve, Klox, or you wouldn't have reacted so vehemently.

It sure seems to me that I must not be the first to have said this, or you wouldn't have had such a knee jerk reaction of
"I just don't give a fuck".....which is absurd, because if you didn't give a fuck, you wouldn't have said anything.

"By the way, anger, pain and rage are the norm in your draws...there are MANY other complex feelings and ideas out there, Klox"

Explaining to you how presumptuous and assuming that statement is will require more effort than I care to give to this little discussion. However, I will suggest you make conclusions about what you -do- know, not what you -presume- to know, as it relates to my artwork.

I actually said "No offense but I really don't give a fuck if you find it "too disturbing"."

The comment was directed at your "insightful" opinion, as to imply I need not "give a fuck" that you find the piece "too disturbing" because that observation, in my opinion, is ignorant. This opinion of mine is not simply based on that comment alone but a few related comments you've left on my artwork in the past.
Miss_DJ (Apr 27, 2009)
oh, jeez Klox....I guess the only comments that are safe to make are "nice draw" Klox.
Guess what? ANY opinions you have are presumptious on your part, too, unless they are based on FACT. Sorry I bothered to mention that your drawings (which could absolutely be an expression of how you feel, ...MUCH of art is exactly that way) could be a representation of internal struggle or pain). If they were, (and God help me I guess I was dead wrong on this one), then you'd be a young man that was full of rage, disappointment, hurt and defeat.....but, no, I guess that's not the case...my bad for originally giving a shit.

You must be feeling warmth, happiness and contentment within your heart and soul to create this kind of art.

and the "too disturbing" comment was directed at Davincipoppalag who said 'We all want to draw like you'....which, no, "we" don't want to draw (in my opinion) disturbing art.

but, oh shit....I can't have an opinion....I forgot....how 'ignorant' of me.
firecracker (Apr 27, 2009)
I'm wonderin' if maybe "kloxboy" could draw a "clown"????,,,,,"LOL"!!!! :P
Wraith (edited Apr 28, 2009)
Oh yeah. Kloxboy CAN draw a clown.
Matter of fact, I think he can draw anything. To me, his drawings are not really disturbing whatsoever. They are very creative. When I see a kloxboy art piece, I wonder often times where his mind is at to create images that I cannot even conceive in my own mind. Art that is out of this world. I don't know, I can even explain it really, but I know it is really good.
firecracker (Apr 28, 2009)
Well......if you think "kloxboy" can draw a clown.....I would love to see him do it....he would probably draw some demented, distorted, twisted, horribly disfigured specimen of a clown...."lol"!!I would "love" to see one of his clown draws!! I agree with you "Wraith"....I don't find any of his draws disturbing at all. I think they're really cool, and very interesting and different. My brother and I, both grew up liking all kinds of monster movies and scary stuff......my brother used to dress up like a "mummy", and start walking down our road, dragging his one foot....trying to walk like Boris Karloff. I used to "tear" sheets into strips, and wrap the strips around him, to help him look like a "mummy" and I would make pie dough, and roll the dough with a rolling pin, to make it thin and flat, so I could put the dough over his head and face, and mold the dough into a hideous looking monster face. I would poke holes in the dough for his eyes and mouth, and nose holes so he could breathe...."LOL"!! We would take pictures of him looking like a mummy......and believe it or not.....we still have those pictures!! He was a great looking mummy!!!! We did all kinds of weird stuff like that when we were kids. My brother bought monster magazines.....and he actually wrote a letter to" Lon Chaney Jr." once. I asked him if he ever got a reply from Lon Chaney, and he said "no".....he never heard from him..."lol"! Even today, I still live with scary monsters. My sister loves scary creepy monster type creatures. She collects them for Halloween decorations, and parties. Our whole garage is filled with scary creatures.....and downstairs my sister bought a life-sized grim reaper that talks when you press it's button......she has the "grim reaper" standing behind her "bar" downstairs.....he is the "bartender"......"lol!!! Soooo.....there is nothing that "kloxboy" could draw that would disturb me.....I've seen worse looking faces than any of his draws......you should see the creatures my sister has in the garage......"LMBO"!! The kids in our neighborhood who come "trick or treating" at our house.....say we have the coolest looking Halloween decorations in the neighborhood. When my sister throws a Halloween party......the decorations are always awesome....everyone comments on how great we decorate. People can't believe the decorations we have. Last year my sister went out and bought a life sized corpse.....it really looks like a corpse. It makes "kloxboy's" draws look "tame". Anyways.....I don't know how I got into all of this "monster" talk.....I guess it's "kloxboy's draws that did it....hahahaaa. I hope he does draw a distorted looking clown!!!!! :P
