Just clearing this one out of the studio too. The book I drew it for has been published and I was happy with the way it was used inside. The 'photoshopper' cropped different portions of the drawing to use as headers on each chapter page and at the end of the book was the whole drawing itself. Turned out nice and glad I have a copy!!

Ok, first I'm REALLY sorry to ''poop on the advanced board" but my reason is like some of the others, I needed the larger canvas...
Anyway, this is a drawing for a friend of mine who's making a book for a friend of hers...a soon to be new mom. My friends husband
wants to be able to put this into printshop and then stretch the leash so the toddler and dog will end up on the back cover of the book.
I haven't done much in photoshop really but I was looking at this wondering if the oval under the kid and dog would mess up the
cropping/stretching process to get them on the back cover...anyone?
I didn't use any ref's but I have to say that the mom's face here reminds me of some drawings Suntan's done in the past. So, I guess Sunny
was the inspiration of the mom! LOL =)

This is neat. I really like the bg; it defines exactly what's going on. Gorgeous work. ; D

I think you did fine :) I love the idea, seriously.

That poor woman looks like she is really having a hard time.......all those kids...."yikes"!!! She should trade them all in for "hamsters"!! "LOL" I'm just joking......those little "munchkins" look really cute! This is a really cool draw.....I bet your friend will love it. :)

Hey Elly, if the person who is doing the stretching has a little knowledge, it won't be a problem at all! If you don't mind I'll try for you in PS and show you the result... somehow...

Done, do you have an e-mail so I can send it to you to seen how it looks? Not per se to use as a final result, just to reassure you that it can be done.

OH, before I forget again! This one's my fav of yours in this style.

Love this one, wow! I really love all the detail going on here...so much to look at. This is really cute. I do a little bit in photoshop, but am no pro in it by no means.

That's a Send-the-kids-to-the-grandparents,-go-to-sleep,-wake-up-and-try-again kind of bad day.

Pretty cool its in a book
enjoydotcom (Oct 15, 2009)
Did I mess it up too much?
elly (Oct 15, 2009)
Ya, Dave! I thought it was pretty cool =)

No, enjoy! U didn't mess it up! It was just what the guy decided he wanted to do with it. They ended up using something different for the cover/back. I like it better inside the book anyway! I have another book I drew the cover/back for (the draws are here in my gallery) and that's been published as well! There's a third one in the works too!
enjoydotcom (Oct 15, 2009)
Would love to see it in be book. :D The smudgy handprints are still my favourite here.
Missdj (Oct 15, 2009)
